Why I Dedicate My Life to Ayahuasca

Sam Believ is a leading voice in ayahuasca and plant medicine, committed to protecting its ancient lineage while making its safety and transformative power clearly understood.

Fewer than one percent of people have experienced ayahuasca, yet millions struggle with anxiety, disconnection, and unresolved trauma. Sam’s belief is clear: when practiced with the right set, setting, preparation, and integration, this medicine creates lasting change from the inside out.

Originally trained as an Marine mechanical engineer, Sam applies precision and discipline to a space often driven by mystique. He built one of Colombia’s highest-rated retreat experiences by raising the operational standard—clear screening, thoughtful preparation, and deep integration—while protecting the integrity of the ceremony itself.

Sam does not claim to be a guru. He is a messenger—bridging ancient wisdom and modern inquiry. From trained athletes to CEOs, he works with leaders seeking real transformation, integrating tools like brain mapping to explore how healing reshapes the brain and nervous system.

His mission is simple: honor the roots, raise the standard, and make profound healing both credible and accessible.

Ayahuasca

Healing from the Inside Out

Ayahuasca (ah-yuh-WAH-skuh) is a traditional Amazonian plant medicine used for centuries to support emotional, psychological, and physical healing. It’s a ceremonial brew made from Ayahuasca vine and chacruna or chagropanga bush that participants drink in a guided setting to help surface deeply held patterns and reconnect the mind, body, and emotional system.

Unlike talk-based tools that work top-down, ayahuasca works from the inside out. It doesn’t replace therapy, meditation, or breathwork, it goes beneath them. Insight becomes embodied, and patterns aren’t just understood; they’re released.

When held with integrity and structure, the experience can catalyze change at the deepest level, where habits form, trauma is stored, and identity quietly runs the show. It doesn’t offer temporary motivation; it shifts how you experience yourself. That’s why people don’t return to who they were before, not because they tried to change, but because their inner landscape has.
